Description
Create the ultimate Arctic experience at your event with our life-size, interactive, animatronic Polar Bear. This magical experience combines advanced puppetry and leading industry technology in the form of our enormous, fluffy Polar Bear Nanuke; who is cleverly brought to life by our expert internal operator. Your guests will love meeting our cheeky, sweet polar bear and getting to know her through her entertaining and knowledgeable handler who guides her throughout the event.
We offer a fun, family stage show packed with fascinating polar bear facts, games and interaction as well as amazing walkabout, photo opportunities and meet and greet. Our polar bear is unbelievably realistic and gives your guests a unique and very special opportunity to experience an unusual and creative form of entertainment.
Polar Bear Show – also known as a ‘stage show’, ‘street show’ or ‘circle show’. An action packed, fun show suitable for all the family showcasing a series of clever demonstrations by one of the world’s most loved and endangered species, fun and interaction with a little help from several unsuspecting audience members!
Photo Freeze – also known as a ‘photo opportunity’ or ‘meet and greet’ performance. This gives your guests the chance to pose for free, up close and personal with our cuddly Polar Bear for photos & selfies, whilst having the opportunity to ask our handler any questions.
Arctic Walk – also known as a ‘walkabout’ performance. The handler takes our Polar Bear on an informal walk around the venue, giving her free rein to explore and interact with people any way she sees fit. Guests can take a sneaky selfie if they’re quick enough but our curious polar bear doesn’t stay still for long and is always keeping her handler busy with her antics.
Performance
Our Polar Bear Experience is a great addition to any Winter Wonderland, Narnia or Golden Compass themed event, Zoo themed events or as an interactive experience at animal parks, Santa’s Grotto, North Pole or Christmas light switch on.
Please Note: We do not use real polar bears in our acts. Our polar bear is a custom made human operated animatronic- like a giant puppet. We require a firm, level, and dry (not damp) area for the performance. We also require a changing area hidden away from the general public so that we don’t ruin the magic. Once in costume, the puppet operator is very limited in the distances they are able to travel. For this reason we require a changing area ideally within of 20m of the performance area. If the changing area is inside a building, please ensure that there are no stairs between the changing area and the performance area, also please ensure there are no doors with less than 120cm width clearance between the changing and performance area. We are unable to perform in the rain, snow or on ice, so it is advisable to have a wet weather as well as a heat contingency plan in place for outdoor events. Some fake snow is made up of foam which is very damaging to the Polar Bear’s fur; please ensure we are sited clear of snow machines if you have them. For logistical reasons we require free onsite parking suitable for a long wheel base van.
Want longer shows or more sets? No problem – we’ve got you covered. We are happy to tailor show lengths to suit your event needs, just make sure you let us know what you need when you enquire to hire a Polar Bear Experience.
