Who is Avant Homes?
Avant Homes is a UK housebuilder known for creating modern and energy-efficient homes across England and Scotland. The company focuses on contemporary design, practical living spaces, and stylish interiors. Their developments range from starter homes to larger family properties, all built with strong attention to quality and innovation.
Alongside construction, Avant Homes places strong value on community and company culture. Events and staff celebrations form an important part of that identity. For their annual Avant Homes Midlands Summer Ball, the company traded hard hats for top hats and rolled out the red carpet.
Stage One: The Brief
Our brief centred on providing immersive entertainment for the third annual Avant Homes Midlands Summer Ball. The chosen theme drew inspiration from The Greatest Showman, following the film’s enormous box office success. The client wanted a spectacular evening packed with circus glamour, theatrical energy, and larger-than-life performances.
The event took place at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. The spacious venue offered flexible function areas, high ceilings, and plenty of room for roaming acts and aerial entertainment. Every detail needed enough sparkle to make guests feel as though they had stepped straight into the greatest show on earth.
Stage Two: The Performers
Our performers delivered a dazzling line-up worthy of centre ring applause. Towering stilt walkers welcomed guests with circus flair, while a sword swallower and a danger performer added drama to the evening and had guests on the edge of their seats.
An aerialist performed graceful routines on a freestanding rig, bringing elegance beneath the imaginary circus canopy, while a fire performer and LED performer lit up the room.
Throughout the evening, performers mingled with guests and created memorable photo opportunities. Their roaming presence kept the atmosphere bubbling like a carnival midway at full swing. Every interaction added another burst of razzle-dazzle to the celebration.
Stage Three: The Greatest Show Goes On
Despite the event taking place in May, the heavens decided to throw their own waterworks performance outside. Rain poured relentlessly throughout the evening, yet guests refused to let the weather steal the spotlight. Inside the warm and welcoming venue, spirits remained sky high beneath the glow of the circus lights.
Music, laughter, and spectacle quickly transformed the ballroom into a vibrant carnival atmosphere. Guests gathered around the entertainment while conversations flowed as freely as the drinks. Even the storm outside could not rain on this parade once the big top magic took centre stage.
The evening also supported an important charitable cause. A fundraising raffle soon rolled into action, adding another layer of excitement to the night. By the final curtain, guests had helped raise an impressive £4,000 for Faith in Families, proving the event delivered heart as well as spectacle.
Stage Four: The Greatest Show Goes On
Guests embraced the Greatest Showman theme with huge enthusiasm from the moment they arrived. Many posed for selfies beside the performers, eager to capture memories from the evening. Cameras flashed constantly as stilt walkers towered above the crowd and aerial performances drew applause from across the room.
The dance floor filled quickly as the atmosphere gathered momentum throughout the night. Groups laughed, mingled, and marvelled at the roaming acts between courses and fundraising activities. The combination of circus glamour, live entertainment, and charitable spirit ensured the event truly became the greatest show in Nottingham. And then guests danced the night away to the live band, Fully Funktional.
